Montgomery County Write In votes

As I threatened to do a few weeks ago, I cast my vote for the most qualified candidate for President...ME.

So, throw stones at me if you want, but I decided I was not going to help either of these guys get elected.

With about 98% of the precincts reporting, I decided to check out how many write-in votes were cast in Virginia.

To my surprise, there were quite a few.  First, in the Presidential race, there were more than 4000 write in votes.  In Montgomery County there were 84 write-ins for POTUS, which was greater than or approximately equal to the numbers for several of the smaller party candidates, including the Greens.

Looking at the 9th Congressional district, which is Boucher running unopposed, there were about 5400 write-ins including 922 in Montgomery County, and 810 in Washington County, Bouchers home.

I was shocked.  I thought I was the only goofy voter out there, but I guess not.  The protest vote is alive and well in Virginia.
